A Limerick is a rhymed humorous or nonsense poem of five lines which originated in Limerick, Ireland.

Most Limericks are usually Ribald types. So no go here under the rules. There are however many that can suitably be made up.

Example and tempo of a Limerick;

There was a poor man named Harry.
Who desperately wanted to marry.
When he tried to propose
The girl turned up her nose
And married his brother named Barry.

(Terrible example) I'm not into writing Limericks.

However it shows the rules and tempo of Limericks. The first two lines Rhyme.
Then the next two lines Rhyme and the last line always Rhymes with the first two lines.
